Kindergarten sunflowers

Kndergarteners studied the life and artwork of Vincent Van Gogh. We paid careful attention to his sunflower paintings and by careful observing these paintings, we created our own. We drew with sharpie, and used oil pastels to add color. We chose any colors we wanted, but had to then add white oil pastel on top of it, to create a tint of the color.

Bunnies with texture

Kindergarten artists looked at the artwork of Renaissance artist Albrecht Durer. His images of animals, like rhinos, rabbits and owls are full of different textures. We drew a rabbit, using a how to draw handout. We added texture with a blending stomp and ebony pencils. We finished the background with colored pencils.
